Mari studied design at the Fashion Institue of Design and Merchandising, Los Angeles (a thousand years ago.) She is presently the primary costume designer and instructor at Lane Community College, Oregon. She has designed over 50 theatrical productions and dozens of dance collaborations. Mari teaches Introduction to Costume Design and Stage Makeup.
Mari has many hobbies including her online business Marirose Designs specializing in recreating 1960s vintage clothing and patterns for Barbie. She has worked with Mattel designing the National Convention Barbie doll in 2008. Mari enjoys travel with her husband Doug of 38 years and all kinds of fiber arts! |
What we learn
Class projects
Students will make four projects during the 10 week class. A pincushion, a tote bag, an independent project and a plush hat.
